Headers
Use (#) for a big header, (##) for a smaller header, or (###). Here is an example of what each header type looks like.

Masked Links
You can use masked links to make text a clickable or pressable hyperlink. To do so, you need to include the text you want displayed in brackets and then the URL in parentheses. For example:

You can create a bulleted list using either (-) or (*) in the beginning of each line. For example:

Code Blocks
You can make your own code blocks by wrapping your text in backticks (`).
If you want to create a multi-line code block, you can do so by wrapping your text in (```), like this beautifully written haiku.
Block Quotes
Another option is using block quotes. To use a block quote, you just need to put (>) at the beginning of a line of text to create a single block quote. For example:

To access advanced features like copying User, Message, or Server IDs, you must enable Developer Mode.
How to enable:
Go to Settings > Advanced.
Toggle Developer Mode to ON.
Why you need this: Usernames change; IDs are permanent. When configuring bots, logging incidents, or setting up permission syncs, always use the User ID (Right-click user > Copy User ID) instead of the username to prevent errors.
Finding old messages or evidence is faster with search operators. Use these in the search bar:

Discord permissions can be confusing. The “Golden Rule” of priority is:

Troubleshooting: If a user cannot see a channel despite having a role that says they can, check the Channel Settings > Permissions. A generic X (Deny) on the channel specifically for that user or one of their other roles will override the Server-wide ✓ (Allow).
Discord’s built-in AutoMod supports Regular Expressions (Regex) for advanced filtering.
Common useful patterns:
b(word1|word2|word3)b– Blocks exact words only (ignores “sword” if blocking “word”).(https?://)?(www.)?discord.(gg|io|me|li)|discordapp.com/invite– Blocks unauthorized Discord invite links.
Warning: Regex is powerful but sensitive. Always test your patterns in a private channel first to avoid blocking legitimate conversation.
Webhooks allow you to post messages into a channel that look like they come from a bot, often used for clean announcements or automated logs from external sites (like GitHub or Trello).
Setup:
Edit Channel > Integrations > Webhooks.
Copy the Webhook URL.
